About the Creator
Who am I?

Trick Question!
Who knowsss... (entering existential crisis mode 😫😣🫠)
But, they do call me Abby, sometimes my full name Abigail when I am feeling fancy.
I'll give that kindergarten first day of school introduction...
My favorite animal is a turtle... or.. sometimes cats.
My favorite color is blue... sometimes green (nature lover here)
and when I grow up I want to be a singer.
No joke... my email used to be starsinger1@gmail.com

Trivia Question 2:
Am I in the United States, the Netherlands (nope not called Holland anymore), or Gru's lair?
...uncanny

On a real note, I've spent the majority of my life studying psychology and health and wellness (basically the connection between the mind, body, and our social networks).
I have a passion for travelling and learning about other cultures. Although I am American (from the warm, coastal state of Virginia), I have never really felt American.
After many years of dreaming and planning to leave the USA, my Sagittarius and Adhd impulsiveness (or, being super fun, as I like to say) led me to take the leap and this is where I live currently ... drum roll please 🥁

Maastricht, Netherlands...a rare image of seeing the sky in the Netherlands, you're welcome.
Living my best sustainable life here (aka dying through the wind on a bike on the way to.... anywhere).
But, really, seeing a whole new way of life that, in my opinion, is completely opposite to the US's, was incredibly eye-opening. And after doing loads of travelling around Europe, South America, and Asia the past few years, I couldn't help but think...why do we keep doing this?
Why do people keep thinking that their way is the right way and murdering people in wars and terrorist attacks because of big opinions and bigger egos. When everywhere that I go, I see that; through different traditions, foods, and religious beliefs, there lies the same human idea of
"please don't hurt me".
🥹🙏🙏🏻🙏🏼🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏿
I see individuals of such different backgrounds than me that have similar ideas and dreams as me, and people that come from very similar childhoods to mine with completely different personalities, strengths, and weaknesses. In the end, it is incredibly obvious that we are, yes, completely different to one another, but each person's strengths are a gift that be used as a tool to help us come together... versus a weapon used to tear each other apart over our weaknesses.
Yet in news media and social media all that is highlighted is one individual's perspective,
like a knife trying to cut us apart, versus the double-edged sword that is the real situation.
If psychology has taught me anything, it is that we literally CREATE OUR OWNS WORLDS!
If you are thinking negatively, the world seems negative... and the opposite with positivity.
All of our childhood experiences mold our belief systems and behaviors. So, why do we keep acting like we are better and know better than any other single person on this Earth of something like 6 billion people (I could have googled this, but you get it...there's a lot of fucking people).
I am feeling very worked-up now (deep-breathing...calming...deep-breathing).
Alright that is better.. now let me get to the point since this website is not supposed to be boring (your opinion vs. mine though, just saying).
Every time I look at the news or social media, I feel de-humanized, like I am just some cattle to sell some grass or water to (um my literal necessities to continue living). I feel disconnected from being any part of nature... when did humans lose the point that we are literally animals....
My health and wellness are a product run by big corporations as we separate further and further from the wisdom of the earliest human civilizations. Back before colonization and technology, when indigenous communities shared the burdens, such as raising children or gathering food, and nature was used as medicine. Before we all started doing two things at once:
walking and...listening to a podcast, washing dishes and...listening to music,
talking to someone and...talking to someone on our phones at the same time.
Before cars and dieting and washing machines and grocery stores. Humans were naturally active, eating natural food that is 10x more full of nutrients than today (ahem. soil depletion and out-of-season produce transport), and spending endless hours in nature, utilizing the plants for healing.
When we began listening to our phones is when we stopped listening to nature.
I wanted to create this site to offer a more honest rendition of the state of the world,
where the good news is highlighted as much as the bad news and you are given the news with a care for your health, not the pockets of some billionaire.
This site is here to bring us together as a great equalizer and ego dissolver: inspiring positivity, compassion, and loving our neighbors as ourselves.
And, as the cherry on top of the big-corp take-down, everything, and truly everything you will see on this site is made to be fun-loving and whimsical, to embrace your inner-child so we stop being boring, "I wake up at 4 am so I am better than you" adults,
and become, "I LOVE what I do everyday and I am healthy and happy and I laugh a lot and I am so grateful to wake up for another morning" type of adults.
Let's inspire. Let's change. Let's Come Together for the health of everyone,
not the over-consumption of a few.
