The Sun Shining through Blue Monday

(Good News stories at the bottom)

Today is a special post dedicated to finding the positive in one of the roughest days of the year for those living on the Northern hemisphere, during our time of winter ❄

Blue Monday is known as the day of the year when the most people commit suicide.

At this day of year, we are deep in winter, yet feeling still far from spring.

If you live in a particularly cold and/or gloomy area during winter, you might be noticing a depressing and low-energy vibe.

Winter is a time when we should be "hibernating" and letting things rest and settle.

In today's world, we are pushed to do an equal amount of work daily, and this pressure can leave us feeling inadequate and un-worthy when we are not naturally feeling energetic on this date in January, Blue Monday.

Today I urge you to take a phone-free day.

Ignore what the rest of the world has to say, and listen to your body's natural rhythms.

Make yourself a warm, comforting drink that puts a smile on your face, like hot chocolate, apple cider, or tea with milk or honey.

Maybe meditate🧘‍♂️and embrace the still-ness or energize with yoga, a nice walk, or exercise class.

Feel what your body needs today.

picture of a galaxy taken by NASA

'Cosmic Ghost Towns' Could Hold Clues the Mysteries of Galactic Structure University of Arizona Steward Observatory astronomers have discovered “cosmic ghost towns” that were halted in their development by cosmic forces billions of years ago.

The “ghost towns,” named Sculptor A, B, and C, consist of three faint and ultra-faint galaxies about 6.5 million light-years from Earth. Despite their barren nature, these desolate regions of space may hold surprisingly important answers about the structure of our modern galaxy.  www.thedebrief.org
